The Fabulous Baker Boys: 2 brothers' for 15 year partnership as a double-piano nightclub lounge act is rattled by the addition of a feisty (and seductive) singer, who kindles changes in their act, and their relation. Author Kloves' prompting debut is trendy and self assured, with some awesome scenes and set pieces, although it skimps on tale-and by no means seriously fleshes out Jeff Bridges' morose personality. The Bridges brothers are impeccably cast, Pfeiffer is superlative. Her misty rendition of "Makin' Whoopee", although piano pondered a little, is classic. Cast includes Jeff Bridges, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dude Bridges, Ellie Raab, and Jennifer Tilly. (113 minutes, 1989)

Good Morning Miss Dove: For few generations, tiny-town spinster schoolteacher has felt and helped condition lives of her learners. Now hospitalized, her past is exposed through flashbacks. Get Smart: Maxwell Smart is back. It's CONTROL versus KAOS in the classic battle of good versus evil. Analyst Maxwell is thrust into the role as secret agent and must put down the attack by KAOS, and their leader Siegfried.

Cheap Drum Kits are Smart to Start you Drum Experience

By Oscar Acosta

If I was buying tools or clothing, I try to buy quality so it will last. As a beginner drummer, I bought a cheap drum kit and was glad I did. I did not have the money at the time to waste and would have regretted a big investment up front. I mainly wanted to try it out and learn to play the drums.

I can remember when I had an obsession for the first time to play the drums. Having been a rudiment drummer in my high school marching band, I knew a bit about the instruments. So, after years of taking a break from playing I was ready to get back to it. I was not mentally or financially prepared to ante up thousands of dollars or even several hundreds to satisfy my need to play.

I found plenty of cheap drum kits on the market to satisfy my entry level needs. I would recommend amazon or american musical supply as good stores to buy from with great selection. I bought my very first for $80 from a friend minus the cymbals. A cymbal pack for $200 made it complete with a $60 kicker.

Your choice are brand and off brand. Try to stay clear of low end off brands unless your budget is tight. Buying a higher end off brand would be best if not a low end brand name. Brand name drum kits include Pearl, Ludwig, Gretch, and DW. Consider your investment in cymbals as these can vary greatly. You can always upgrade from your cheap drum kit.

Know your goal as someone who is going to play in a band, play for self enjoyment or even considering a professional career. Each has a different level of committment and discipline. Your resources must be prioritized and setting proper expectations is helpful. Playing the drums is the best part of the band in my opinion.

If you live in an apartment or neighborhood and noise is an issue, you would want to look into an electronic drum kit. You can still find an electronic cheap drum kit however the price tends to average $200 or more. You can customize the sound of each drum and control the volume which comes in handy. A separate amplifier would be required.

I highly recommend taking drum lessons. Either from a one on one instructor or choose one of the good DVD program online. You will not regret it. You save money on buying a cheap drum kit, now invest in your skills. You will enjoy playing more and it may ensure you stick with drumming. Your family will be glad for it and if you're really good the thousands of fans will appreciate it too. - 18423
