Anti-Gay Group Protest--Adam Lambert Concert

A group of protesters converged outside an American Idol concert, being held in San Jose, California, this past Sunday. The purpose of their demonstration was to let all there be known, homosexuals are going to hell. The group is from a controversial and radical church located in Topeka Kansas. The Westboro Baptist Church, who's website is God Hates Fags.com, talk about their mission to "hate" on their webpage......

Since 1955, Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has taken forth the precious from the vile, and is therefore as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets, conducting 41,002 peaceful demonstrations (to date) opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. In response, America bombed WBC & WBC on 8-2-2008. God is America's enemy: 5,058 dead soldiers; crashing economy. America crossed the line on June 26, 2003, when the Supreme Court (the conscience of the nation) ruled in Lawrence v. Texas that we must respect sodomy. Also performing at the concert was Michael Sarver, a fellow American Idol contestant, and a friend of Lambert's. According to StarPulse.com, Sarver wrote on his Twitter.com page, "Funny how people think it's a good idea to mess with a big Texan and his AI (American Idol) family. Adam is just fine, shakes it off and so should we. We are together in this thing. You mess with one you mess with all ten. We are strong and we are 1. For those outside protesting I say do not judge less ye be judged yourself. Guys don't mind these people, we are a strong family."

I must say how disappointed I am in the Westboro Baptist Church. The contents of their web site is so "Hate Oriented". I thought the purpose of a "Christian Church" was to proclaim Jesus, love God, and love their fellow man. Well this is not what they are doing. They are going all over the place and preaching Hate. I don't know about their "god", but my God does not hate and would never tell his "children" to go out and preach for the devil.

These churches, that are completely radical and on the verge of becoming a modern day cult, are spreading their message of hate across America, and using God's name to do it. Their are a lot of uneducated bigots not only in America, but all around the world who have and will continue to use hate as a weapon against others who have a different religious belief or who live a different lifestyle. The notion that hate can consume an individual or a group should not be taken lightly. All we have to do is clothes our eyes and look back in history to know that such things can and do happen.

In the end, we do live in the United States of America, and as Americans we have certain rights. One of which is to express our opinions, even when ours might not match what other people believe or feel. Freedom, that is what we are all entitled to, so disagreeing with a cause like this is not going to make it vanish. The "hate" oriented cause will still continue to exist. We do however have the option to let it be known that we disagree, and inform others that hate never wins. And it is not acceptable. Take a stand and refuse to let hate win, refuse to let hate consume your life. After all, this is America. We have the right to be free. Free from Hate. - 18423

How To Find A Good And Cheap Acoustic Guitar For Beginners?

Beginning guitarists sometimes experienced a lot of problems in their guitar journey and decided to quit. Some gave up because they never produced good musical tones with their guitar while others complained they could not take the pain.

These problems may be related to the guitars they used. Some parents for example bought cheap guitars thinking that if the children quit they would not lose much. This idea is not completely true because picking wrong guitars can also lead to a big frustration.

You can buy budget guitars as long as they meet some criteria below:

The first thing to check is the guitar neck. Don't buy a guitar with bowed neck. To check this you can press the sixth string at both first and 12th frets. It should leave a tiny gap only between the string and the frets.

Other important factor to check is the guitar playability. You should feel comfortable playing any chords at any places on the fretboard without difficulties or suffering muscle tension and fingers pain.

To find out an acoustic guitar with good playability you should measure the action. Take a measurement from the bottom of the thickest string to the top of the 12th fret. Ideally 3mm to 4mm distance is needed. For beginners this action setting will help a lot because it decreases the strings tension.

The last thing to check is intonation. Good intonation means each note pressed on any fret across the fretboard should stay in tune. A guitar may sound OK when you play open chords but once you are moving your chords along the fretboard you may experience out of tune chords. This is a due to bad intonation and nothing related to the guitar tuning at all. Use guitar tuner to take some measurement in case you are in doubt.

Cheap guitars tend to sacrifice the guitar playability and/or intonation. If you are unsure it's a good idea to get one of your friend that has guitar experience to guide you and recommend you some guitars to test. Based on his/her recommendation you then choose one that is comfortable in your hand. Guitar appearance may fool you easily.
