Before the 1980's the only way to see a movie was to go to the theater. Infrequently if it was a really pleasant show they would show it on TV in a while but the movies were modified to have room for the commercials and any primetime screening limitations.

Then in the 1980's the first videos came out and we were finally able to watch movies in the coziness of our own homes. Though, in the beginning for the most part people did not possess their own VCR's and you had to rent a huge appliance along with your video if you wanted to watch at home. It replaced going to the theater but it wasn't any more handy.

Wow, how the times have changed! The options to watch movies at home are now limitless as the most expedient resolution yet is downloading movies right to you own computer, anytime of the day and any movie that you want. Pretty marvelous when you think that just over 25 years ago we weren't able to watch movies at home at all.

For a nominal subscription fee you can now get infinite and unhindered access to thousands of movies. In just the few minutes that it takes to download you can nearly immediately watch whatever motion picture you want. You can use your computer screen as the motion picture screen or you can also transfer the movie to a disc so you can watch it on your TV.

There are a a small number of sites out there that assert that you can download the movies for free. Be advised that this is not legal and if they are truthfully doing it for free then there is some snag. You are putting yourself at peril for computer viruses, adware and malware. It is not reasonable to think that someone would just give away film downloads for without charge. There are also copyright laws and other legal constraints that reputable sites must comply with. Therefore do not be fooled by the sites that offer movie downloads for free.

The single concern that over and over again comes up is the fact that a motion picture that you download will take up room on your hard drive. You may want to transfer it to a disc so that you can remove it from your computer depending on how much room you have on your hard drive and what you use it for.

The major advantage of downloading movies is that you can always get whatsoever show that you want anytime that you want it. There are no late fees and no standing in line at the video store or waiting for the movie to come in the mail. You can now get your movie instantly. Downloading movies is the greatest thing that has happened since we have been able to watch movies at home.

We have loads of internet discussion boards or forums as we know on different topics. The latest craze going around is the music forums where musicians across the world who can share their knowledge of music. We have a lot of static discussion boards over the years but nowadays we see the development of some real time music forums where we have music chat rooms, instant messaging etc. some help from the forums would be like:

- increased exposure

- keep up to date with latest updates in the music world ranging from composing, production information on instruments

- Find out about various music groups and schedules or itineraries of various bands.

- The advent of technology created a lot of people young and old getting hooked to the internet, thus music forums provide a platform for people to network themselves through these forums just as they did before the growth of technology by word of mouth.

- Users majorly join forums to learn and talk to other composers about their working processes.

- Music Artists who also upload their songs may find some good critics about the work that has been done.

Those who don't think a music chat room is important in the new music industry should take a quick look at one of the hundreds of opportunities on the World Wide Web. While it was necessary to catch the attention of an industry leader or record-company big-shot from the 1950s to about 1990, this is no longer the case. In this new world, musicians can share ideas and information directly with fans, while fans can share ideas and music with each other - all without waiting for a corporate representative or well-known critic to hand down the blessing.

Ok lets take a look at how chat rooms have evolved and how they are used today. These aren't rooms of course, but they can be comfortable places for individuals to "talk" with one another about common interests. Long time ago it was necessary to play a song live for a radio personality, a record company representative or an agent. Then it was possible that this individual had access to others who could arrange to record the singer or band. From that point, the recording had to be distributed and the band had to travel in order to be heard. Learn to Play Piano by Ear

Are you curious if the knowledge you have about playing the piano is correct? Below is the latest information on playing the piano for you to think about.

Would you like to play the piano without the fuss of dragging your music sheets?

Or hum your music along with a certain tune?

Are you senses visually not what they should be, but you desire to play a piano?

Haven't you learned that if you can hum a certain tune, that you can learn to play it?

Quite a few musicians that are professionals, didn't use instructors or any manuals to begin their careers. They learned by listening to a tone and then playing to the specific beat that the music had. No notes on a paper, or teachers helping.

1 - Get your things in order. You will of course require a keyboard or piano, whichever you have. You just have to be able to use at least 3 fingers. You will need adequate time for practicing. Make sure the piano is in tune.

2. Remember that the piano is an instrument that is comprised of 88 keys. Along these are 12 straight notes. The first white key is the A - note, next white note is B, C, D, E, F, G.

Following the last G white note it starts over with the A note and continues to repeat. The whole sequence is actually repeated a total o 7 times. The same follows with the black notes that are the sharps and flat notes.

3 - The Home is is also the not C. To find this C note look at the white note at the left of the pair of black keys not the threesome. If you still feel baffled the look closely at your piano. The very middle note on the piano is a C note. In fact it is called middle C. This is the beginning note in the C major chord.

If you are not up to date on your piano facts, how does the affect your playing? Be sure to keep up on all vital piano playing information.

The thumb of your right hand will serve as number 1 because it is put at the C straddled in the middle. From there, count all keys going to the right. Include the black keys.

When you reach the number 5 you have found the second note of the C chord. This is played with your middle finger. Then start at 5 and count until you reach 8, that is the last not of the chord and is played with your pinkie finger.

Now hit these keys together and an impressive sound is accomplished.

4 - Memorize the above sequence to use in your playing...1, and 5, and 8 to count. You can do with any note as a starting point, as long as you count right, be sure to count those sharps and flats.

Use these chords as your roots. This will work perfectly if you decided to start on a sharp. You'll be making a sharp chord by then.

5 - With enough practice on these chords that are easy, you'll discover that by counting and closely listening, it will be simple to work through.

If you drop the 5 and go to 4 then you will have a minor chord, in place of the major chord.

Then if you are doing the C chord, then just move the finger to the left one key and you will play a C minor chord.

Through the advantage of listening, you'll be able to distinguish the difference in sound. You'll be able to spot the slight differences in tune. Not unless you're deaf.

Some Practical Advice

Don't settle your practice just on the middle keys of the piano. There are numerous keys to choose from.

Learn how to play with both hands, utilizing all your fingers. Don't just peck around with one or maybe two fingers.

Practice enough.

The first type of pedal Id like to discuss is essential to almost every guitar style. That is the Distortion or Overdrive pedal. The distortion pedal takes your guitar signal and compresses or clips the sound wave produced by your electric guitar.

There are literally hundreds of distortion pedals for you to choose from. Everything is available from a light overdriven distortion to a scooped our, modern metal distortion. A distortion pedal is essential to have in your collection whether you play Country, Metal or Rock-N-Roll.

The second most important pedal to have in your collection is the Delay Pedal. A delay pedal works by taking your original guitar signal and repeating it at a set interval after the original signal. The signal can have as many repeats as you want to create many types of echo effect.

Having a delay pedal in your effect arsenal will give you the ability to add depth to your sound. You can also use a delay effect set to longer delay settings for creating complex, layered harmonies. All types of musical genres use delay effects.

To round out the top 3 effect pedals you should own for your guitar, you must have a Chorus pedal. The way a Chorus pedal works is by putting a slight delay with added modulation to your guitar's original signal and then combining that signal with the original one. This creates a lush, full sound as if two guitars were playing simultaneously.

The Chorus effect is most commonly used to give the guitar a thicker sound. You can also run a chorusing effect in stereo for a wide, spatial sound that is fabulous mixed in stereo. Again, every genre of music uses the chorus effect.
