Scattershot comedy drifts from the Rock Age to Roman Kingdom to French Rebellion, distributing gags varying from humorous to detestable. Eventually propulsion's gone, and it all just fibs there, regardless of attempts of a big joke cast. Cast includes Mel Brooks, Gregory Hines, Dam DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Ron Carey, and Barry Levinson. (92 minutes, 1981)
Liar Liar: Fletcher Reede is a hard working lawyer who is constantly disappointing his wonderful young son. Eventually, before blowing out the candles at his birthday, Max makes his wish. He wants his father to not be able to lie for one full day. The results are absolutely hilarious.
Hired-To-Kill: A Mercenary poses as a gay clothes maker to spring insurgent leader Ferrer from Latin American jail. His commando squad with six attractive ladies posing as style models is impressive. Well generated, although awesomely stupid. Cast includes Nico Mastorakis, Peter Rader. Brian Thompson, Oliver Reed, George Kennedy, Jose Ferrer, Michelle Moffett, Barbara Lee Alexander, Jordana Capra, Kendall Conrad, Kim Lonsdale, Jude Mussetter, and Penelope Reed. (91 minutes, 1990)
Thelma And Louise: Thelma and Louise are friends headed out of town for a couple of days of fishing. Stopping at a bar, they get drunk, and a man tries to rape Thelma. When Louise tries to get the man to stop, things go bad, and he shoots him. Now Thelma and Louise are on the run, and decide to go for Mexico.
The Accidental Tourist: This movie tells the story of Macon Leary, who is listless after the death of his son. This is compounded further when his life decide to leave him because he won't snap out of it. With a divorce pending he finds himself involved with a new woman, who is helping bring him back to life. Now his wife decides to have him back, and he is faced with more tough questions. William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Geena Davis, Amy Wright, and Bill Pullman star. (1988 Drama)
Down With Love: Spoof of I960s Doris Night-Stone Hudson comedies has Zellweger as the writer of a most popular novel on girl liberty in a battle of the genders with playboy/publication author McGregor. Andrew Constitutions' lush, over the top Hollywood-fantasy production layout is the genuine megastar here; everything else is heavy handed and shallow, a self-consciously synthetic burlesque of an already lightweight film genre. Cast includes Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor, David Hyde' Perforate, Sarah Paulson, Tony Randall, Lei Ryan, and Rachel Dratch. (94 minutes, 2003)
