Looking For A Impressive Movie? Check Out These Excellent Movie Opinions

By Sonia Francis

You get home and you are in the frame of mind to watch a hilarious comedy and you find that they sent the latest horror flick in its place. And some of the mail-in subscriptions don't offer the newest releases until later so you end up having to visit the dvd/store anyway and you're back where you started because of course the movie is not in stock and you have to wait again.

Barnyard - Excited craziness set on a farm where, after sundown, the animals turn the barn into a noisy nightclub. James is Otis, a young cow who is very mature, much to the chagrin of his dad, Ben Elliott, who keeps watch for predatory coyotes when the others party. Dom Irrera stands out as Duke the Dog. Cast includes Courtney Cox, Sam Elliott, Danny Glover, Wanda Sykes, Andie MacDowell, David Koechner, and Laraine Newman. (90 minutes, 2006)

The All-American Boy - Muddled drama in reference to Olympic hopeful Voight's effort to be a triumphant boxer; striking locations of northern California, but that is all. Cast includes Jon Voight, Ned Glass, Anne Archer, and Carol Androsky. (104 minutes,'89)

Only You - Nice confection in reference to a young female who invests her entire life looking for her perfect mate whose name was summoned up on a Ouija board. Cast includes Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey, Jr., Bonnie Seek, Joaquim De Almeida, Fisher Stevens, and Phyllis Newman. (108 minutes,'94)

Live Free Or Die Hard - The U. S. is under attack. A criminal mind is attacking the system with modern secrets. It is now up to Detective John McClane and accomplished computer hacker Matt Farrell to find and stop whoever is doing the attacking.

Number One with a Bullet - Carradine and Williams do well in this fairly average action film where we have hostile investigators out to depose a drug kingpin. Cast includes Robert Carradine, Billy Dee Williams, Valerie Bertinelli, Peter Graves, Doris Roberts, and Bobby DiCicco. (101 minutes,'87)

So we tried a mail subscription. It sounded like it might work well. Just fill up your queue and pick up your movies at the mailbox. The only drawback was that if the first movie that you wanted wasn't available then they would send the second movie or the third movie on your list in its place. - 18423
