Some Helpful Film Plot Lines To Look At

For a long time we have used the video store as one of our main ways to access movies. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Just about any movie every made can be attained through a movie download site now. Check out these samples.

House of Strangers: Dynamic drama of cruel financier Robinson who uses his 4 sons to carry out his own devious plans. Exclusive plot line has been used in assorted ways for numerous succeeding films. Cast includes Edward G. Robinson, Susan Hayward, Richard Conte, Luther Adler, Efrem Zimbalist, and Esther Minciotti. (101 minutes, 1949)

Raising-Cain: Lithgow is the entire show here. He literally has more roles than you can imagine in this over-the-top thriller in reference to a set of double brothers who'll halt at nothing to acquire kids for their dad's disturbing experiments. This tongue-in-cheek De Palma work that gives nods to Hitchcock, Welles, and Michael PowelI is laced with satire. Cast includes John Lithgow, Lolita Davidovich, Steven Bauer, Frances Sternhagen, and Gregg Henry. RT. (95 minutes, 1992)

Addams Family Values: The Addams family is back again with all the ghouls in force. This time a beautiful woman plans to marry cousin 'It' to swindle him out of his money. Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd, Joan Cusack, and Christina Ricci star. (1993 comedy directed by Barry Sonnenfeld)

The Great Lie: Brent weds Davis after breaking off an engagement with Astor. Astor is carrying his child. He is lost in a plane crash, leaving Davis and pregnant Astor to battle each other and all the complications. Cast includes Mary Astor, Bette Davis, George Brent, Lucile Watson, Hattie McDaniel, Permit Mitchell, and Jerome Cowan. (107 minutes, 1941)

Delirious: An astonishingly foolish comedy with a nice premise. A beleaguered soap opera author gets a conk on the head and fantasizes that he's living in his own story in a heroic role that allows him to have his way with the lady he worships in the real word. Cast includes John Candy, Mariel Hemingway, Emma Samms, David Rasche, Charles Rocket, Raymond Burr, and Dylan Baker. (96 minutes, 1991)

Black Hawk Down: The incredible true story recounting the events in Somalia. U.S. soldiers were supposed to be on the ground for only an hour. Things went wrong, and before it was over, 18 U.S. soldiers were dead, and so were hundreds from Somalia.

Cop Land: Freddy Hanlin is the Sheriff of Garrison New Jersey, a small town not too far from New York City. Freddy always want to be a New York City cop, but he is slightly deaf, so he never could. When internal investigator Mo Tilden shows up in town to look into potential police corruption, Freddie takes up the cause and starts to help out. Freddie is about to learn that the men he has always idolized might be doing some very bad things.

House on 92nd Street: Arousing documentary style drama-based movie. It's about truth and orchestrated on true locations about FBI counterespionage exercises throughout WW2: Nazi representatives, operating in N.Y.C. try to steal part of the atom bomb secrets. Charles G. Booth made an Oscar for this story. Cast includes William Eythe, Lloyd Nolan, Signe Hasso, Gene Lockhart, Leo G. Carroll, and Lydia Clair. (88 minutes, 1945)

The Page Turner: A 1O-year-old gal who is committed to becoming a piano genius auditions for a music scholarship, but is turned down by the dean of the school. 10 years later she puts herself into the same ladies home, gets the family to trust her, and plans her revenge. Cast includes Catherine Frot, Deborah Francois, Pascal Gregory, Xavier de Guillebon, Christine Citi, and Jacques Bonnaffe. (85 minutes, 2006)
