In June 2009, "My Sister's Keeper" was released. Based upon the novel by Jodi Picoult, and starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Patric, this film follows the account of a family with one sick child and another child who is a genetic match to her sister, because she was conceived to keep the first child living. The book and the motion picture are both really heart-wrenching, however, the altered ending of the movie will let down the readers of the book.

The next movie was based upon two books, "My Life in France" by Julia Child and Alex Prud-homme and "Julie and Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen' by Julie Powell. In theaters now,"Julie and Julia" is an enjoyable comedy about the intertwining lives of these two women.

It will feature Anna Faris, James Caan, and from Saturday Night Live, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg and Tracy Morgan and others. The book was hilarious; lets hope the motion picture lives up to it.

Another masterpiece kid's story will be released as a movie in October 2009. "Where the Wild Things Are" is about the adventures of a little boy named Max who imagines that he sails away to where the wild things are. Based upon the long beloved family's story of the matching name.
