Unusually Excellent Movies For Your Entertainment Delight

Available are some of the best movies of all time are the "oldies but goodies". If you fancy to watch a wonderful motion picture tonight, here is some information on some of the best films you may have never heard of. Check them out. Keep in mind you can download them almost instantaneously to your own computer in the ease of your own house.

The Defiant - A captivating account of 2 runaway convicts, one black and one white who are chained together as they escape from the penitentiary in the South. Superior performances by Williams and Chaney as individuals they meet during the voyage. Academy Prize for screenplay by Harold Jacob Smith and Nathan E. Cast includes Tony Curtis, Sidney Poitier, Theodore Bike, Charles McGraw, Carnie Williams, and Lon Chaney, Jr. 97 minutes, 1958.

Above the Law - This is Steven Segal's breakout film. He plays a Chicago Cop who takes matters into his own hands. As the title implies, he is 'above the law'. He uses his large body and martial arts skills to wreak chaos on the bad guys. Stars include Steven Segal, Pam Grier, and Sharon Stone. 1988 Action.

The Ploughman's Lunch - Complicated, cynical censure of British behaviors, ethics and affairs of state, focusing on the maneuvers of wholly egotistical journalist (Pryce) and others throughout the Falklands battle. The movie is somewhat perceptive, within the restraints of its outlook. Cast includes Jonathan Pryce, Tim Curry, Rosemary Harris, Blunt Finlay, and Charlie Dore. 100 minutes, 1983.

Uncle Buck - Cindy Russell must visit her ailing dad. Her lone choice for someone to look after her kids is good old Uncle Buck. Reckless Buck has to in some way pull himself together and take care of the kids for a couple of days.

Hootenanny Hoot - Unsurprising comedy about college hootenanny show carried to TV is made tolerable only by presence of Money and other nation/people actors. This is one of Sam Katzman's "normal" low-budget movies. Cast includes Gene Nelson, Peter Breck, Joby Baker, Rita Lee, Pam Austin, Johnny Money, Sheb Wooley, The Brothers 4, and Judy Henske. 103 minutes, 1973.

Belles on Their Toes - Here, Myrna Loy plays a widowed architect who will crusade to raise her aging brood. 20th Century Fox back lot seen at its best in recollecting early 1900s America. Clifton Webb makes a succinct appearance at the climax. Cast includes Myrna Loy, Jeanne Crain, Debra Paget, Jeffrey Hunter, Edward Arnold, Hoagy Carmichael, Barbara Bates, Robert Arthur, Verna Felton, and Martin Milner. 89 minutes, 1952.

The Beverly Hillbillies - This is a movie based on the 1960's TV series. When Jed Clampett fortuitously finds oil on his rural land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant millionaire. He brings the whole Clampett kin out to Beverly Hills. Being down-to-earth country folk they are prey to every cash hungry con artist in the great big city.

Thunderheart - There have been a number of killings on the Sioux Indian Reservation. The FBI goes in to cope with the situation. One agent, Ray Levoi, has Sioux blood. As he investigates the case he soon realizes there is much more going on than some accidental killings. - 18423
