Internet Movie Reviews

By Don Burke

It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. You will find just about any movie you want with a good movie download site, below is a small sample.

The Scalphunters: A Western comedy where we find a fur trapper and his highly informed servant. The film has its good parts however it just doesn't create enough laughs. Cast includes Burt Lancaster, Shelley Winters, Ossie Davis, Telly Savalas, Armando Silvestre, Notch Cravat, and Dabney Coleman. (102 minutes, 1968)

Foolin Around: Here's a dumb 1950s-fashion comedy in regards to a good hearted klutz who chases a prosperous gal, even though she's already involved. Cast includes Gary Busey, Annette O'Toole, Eddie Albert, John Calvin, and Tony Randall. (111 minutes, 1980)

Me, Myself and Irene: Normally mild mannered Rhode Island policeman Charlie Bailey is just a typical hard working cop. When he doesn't take his medication, his alter ego Hank is let loose. Hank is a vulgar, rude, aggressive wild man. Irene, who has confided in Charlie for help, must deal with Hank too in this wacky comedy romance.

Snow white A Story of Fear: We're not in Disneyland here, kiddies. Incredibly shady, rather bloody, live-action rendition of the Brothers Grimm kid story and a workout in medieval terror, with over-the-top Weaver as the malevolent stepmother. l Cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Sam Neill, Gil Bellows, Taryn Davis, Brian Glover, David Conrad, and Monica Keena. (101 minutes, 1997)

Southern Comfort: Macho National Guardsmen pity Cajuns in the Louisiana marsh, much to their remorse. Survivalof-the-fittest spun wool is an intellectually messed, Grade B Deliverance, in spite of its crisp direction. Cast includes Keith Carradine, Powers Boothe, Fred Ward, Franklyn Seales, T. K. Carter, Lewis Smith, Les Lannom, Peter Wolf, and Brian James. (106 minutes, 1981)

Fort Apache: Fonda is successfully cast contrary to type as adamant martinet who strokes his own means as well as bordering Indians. It remunerates Montgomery's attempts to sustain sanctity of his secluded island contrary to proactive crooks and smugglers. Cast includes John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Shirley Church, Pedro Armendariz, John Agar, Ward Bond, Mae Bog, and Hank Worden. (127 minutes, 1948)

Space Cowboys: After missing out on being the first Americans in space in 1958, now senior citizens Frank Covin and his pilot buddies are getting a second chance. When Soviet communications satellite has problems, Frank, who designed it, is the only one capable of fixing it. So, now 42 years later, Frank and his friends will get their trip to outer space, becoming the first senior citizens to make such a voyage.

Role Model: Two adolescent adults crash the company truck while partying. To avoid jail time they are offered 150 hours of community service. They are stuck mentoring hardship kids. Maybe jail time would have been easier.

Drop Zone: Peter Nessip, and his brother Terry are US Marshall's escorting criminal Earl Leedy to a high security prison. A daring rescue has the resuers blow a hole in the plane and parachute to freedom, taking Leedy with them. Terry is suck out the hole in the plane also, but plummets to his death. Peter is now after Leedy and his gang, and must enter the world of dare devil skydiving to catch them.

A phrase like "Watch Tv Shows Online" might get a good result. A change in the phrase will sometimes get a better result. You should punch in "Music Downloads Services" for another set of results. - 18423
