This 2 part tale is admittedly a whopper, yet it's addressed in believable style that makes one able to acknowledge it. Cast includes Michelle pfeiffer, Treat Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Jonathan Jackson, Ryan Merriman, John Kapelos, and Michael Mcelroy. (109 minutes, 1999)
The Great Manhunt: Fable of the West is nothing particularly special as McCrea dreams of oil wells, while Donlevy takes his gal. Stanwyck ages to one hundred in her role. Siddhartha: Choppy rendition of Hermann Hesse novel follows Indian as he leaves hifamily to find more stimulating life. This film is too artsy, although on-location photography by Sven Nykvist is often illuminating. Cast includes Shashi Kapoor, Simi Garewal, Romesh Shama, Pinchoo Kapoor, Zul Vellani, and Amrik Singh. Holes: Boy from an offbeat family is sent to an odd desert camp where it's trusted that digging holes will develop one's character. As he gets to know the other black sheep amid the kids and staff pieces of his life start to come together and make sense.
