The Inheritors: A landowner dies and gives his positive holdings to the 7 lowly peasants who performed his far Cast includes Vigorous, pointed if unsurprising partisan allegory, set in an Austrian village in the 19308. Lucid characterizations add punch to the cases. Cast includes Simon Schwarz, Sophie Rois, Lars Rudolph, Julia Gschnitzer, Ulrich Wildgruber, and Susanne Silverio. (95 minutes, 1988)
Chocolat: Vianne, along with her young daughter, moves to a small village in southern France, and opens a chocolate shop. When she keeps her shop open on Sundays, the very religious town is up in arms. Eventually the spirit of the mother/daughter team wins over the town, and opens the minds of the conservative and religious people.
The Vow: (2001) C-l24 Nevada detective, on the night of his retirement, finds that he is engaged in the case of a little gal's murder and vows to her parents that he can bring the murderer to due process. Another awesome Nicholson acting job anchors this fine-tuned film, which sidesteps recipe in favor of nuance. The Vow is based on the novel by Friedrich Durrenmatt. Cast includes Jack Nicholson, Robin Wright Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Vanessa Redgrave, Tom Noonan, Patricia ClllIkson, Michael O'Keefe, Aaron Eckhart, Costas Mandylor, Helen Mirren, Mickey Rourke, and Sam Shepard. (124 minutes, 2001)
The Bugle Sounds: Old-time sergeant Beery objects to progress in the army, bails cavalry out of trouble in finale. New footage of Worms Bunny encloses this collection of some of Get rid of Jones' best Warner- Bros. animation briefs. Not the best way to see these amazing films, as the repetition grows tiresome, although still beneficial. Cut to 78 Cast includes for pay Television, and 48 Cast includes Marjorie Prime, Lewis Rock, George Bancroft, Henry O'Neill, and Donna Reed. (101minutes, 1941)
40 Year Old Virgin: Andy Sitzer is 40 years old, and is still a virgin. When his co-workers learn of his situation, they are now on a mission to get him laid. Mishaps and adventures follow, with love just around the corner.
Dick Tracy: Big Boy Caprice and his mob are wreaking havoc on the streets of Chicago. Add to that, a loyal girlfriend, an orphan needing his help, being seduced by the sultry Breathless Mahoney, and a new threat in town know as the Blank, and you can see that Dick Tracy is a very busy man. It will take all his powers to save the city.
The Presido: A crime has been committed at the Prrsidio, an army base in San Francisco. A female MP has been shot and the following chase flows into the streets of San Francisco. When it comes time to investigate both the military and SFPD will be involved. This forces Colonel Caldwell and detective Jay Austin, two men with a sorted past, to come together and solve the case.
